More Baby Bedside Sleepers Recalled
As a baby product vendor, one of the things we constantly look out for is RECALLS & NEW INFO/UPDATE ON PRODUCTS
We believe we owe you all due diligence to keep your children safe while running a sustainable business
In April, Fisher Price recalled ALL AUTO ROCK/MANUAL ROCK SLEEPERS. We took these products down from our website.
Few weeks after that, INGENUITY BRAND OF SLEEPERS WERE RECALLED TOO! Ingenuity is produced by manufacturers called ‘Kids II’. They manufacture these sleepers for Bright starts, Taggies & disney baby as well.
We believe that a trend arose for ALL TYPES of sleepers and they are being pulled off the market gradually. We foresee that most; if not all sleepers may be discontinued soon.
In the US, a product might not have manufacturing faults but when infant deaths are being linked to it, either due to PARENTAL MISUSE or CARELESSNESS, IT WILL BE RECALLED. In essence, parents have been using most of these sleepers beyond age 3months for kids and they mostly do not use the safety belt included
The Consumer Safety Product Commission comprises of multiple/diverse professionals that make recall decisions. Data is being collected at many levels to make final recall decisions
While some brands have not been recalled, PLEASE EXERCISE CAUTION WHEN YOU USE YOUR SLEEPER
Stop using it by 8-12weeks or when your baby can roll over
Use belt at all times when child is inside
